2026 Welcome Letter from the Chair

Dear PhAMAS members,

Happy New Year and welcome to 2026 at PhAMAS!

I am honored to serve as Chair in 2026, along with Akiko Mitsui as Vice Chair, Mark Schmidt continuing as Program Director, and Sara Ketchum joining as Treasurer. Thank you to Ted Molin, Immediate Past Chair, for his leadership and service this past year.

We closed 2025 with strong momentum and a vibrant sense of community, thanks to a full slate of educational programs and networking events that brought analysts, issuers, and other market participants together across the region.

In 2026, we will continue to host high quality events. Our first event of the year will be a regional economic update. Other events will focus on specific sectors and topics that are important to our membership.

This year, we are also working to increase our membership. We can all help with this. If your registration has lapsed, please renew. Bring a colleague to an event and invite peers to join. Starting this year, attendance at all PhAMAS events is free as part of the membership.

On behalf of the Board, a very special thank you to Ballard Spahr for hosting our in-person events in their beautiful offices in Philadelphia. Thank you also to Build America Mutual (BAM) and Assured Guaranty for sponsoring the annual Phillies baseball game outing. To our members, thank you for your expertise, time, and camaraderie you bring to this community.
